Seven persons have been arrested by the police in Ogun after it was alleged that they were responsible for defacing portraits of President Goodluck Jonathan.
The damaged portraits were said to have been hung at the state secretariat of the Labour Party which was recently burgled.
The suspects are also being accused of the burglary which took place in the Adatan area of Abeokuta, the state capital.

Those arrested are: Ismail Odejimi, Asade Adewale, Nurudeen Ayomatokunje, Nuru Olaleye, Soji Adegbola, Micheal Ranti Adegbola and John Olaleye.
The Secretary of the party, Sunday Ogini made the allegations, but the police have vowed to get to the root of the matter, especially because the suspects belong to a faction of the party, fighting to wrest control from Ogini’s faction.
