Nana Ama McBrown Celebrates One Year of Her Accident At Teshie Orphanage

Thursday January 30 2014 was exactly one year since actress Nana Ama McBrown was involved in an accident on the N1 High way with her boyfriend Maxwell Mensah which almost claimed her life.
To mark the one year and thank God for her life, the actress donated several items to the Teshie Orphanage with her family and her boyfriend Maxwell to share the day with the orphans.

Speaking after the donation Nana Ama said she is very grateful to the Almighty God for sparing her life and that of her boyfriend.
“I thank God for our lives. God is indeed wonderful and a merciful God. Exactly a year by this time I was in a sick bed fighting for my life and today, I am here alive strong and kicking. All I can say is thank you God for giving a second chance and I can never stop thanking God”, emotional Nana Ama McBrown told the media.
Nana thanked the nurses and doctors at the Yaa Asantewaa wards inside the 37 Military hospital, her family, the media, Ghanaians and her fans all over the world for supporting her all through her hard times.
Nana and the inmates of the orphanage cut a cake with the inscription “We thank God For Life” written boldly on it and shared it for everyone to have a bite.
Actress, Nana Ama McBrown born Felicity Ama Agyemang, was involved in a horrific car accident on the George Walker Bush highway (N1) at Lapaz, a suburb of Accra on Wednesday morning January 30, 2014 around 2am with her boyfriend Maxwell Mensah whiles they were on their way home from a location of a music video shoot for Hiplife group Praye.
The ill-fated incident happened early Wednesday morning at about 2am on the Abeka Lapaz stretch of the N1 Highway in Accra. Nana Ama and her boyfriend Maxwell Mensah driving a black four-wheel-drive Range Rover with a temporary licence plate number DV8460 was heading from Osu towards their residence in Mallam.
On approaching the Lapaz traffic lights which were then blinking amber, another vehicle, a taxi cab with licence plate number GR 9922- R approached from the left side and rammed into the Range Rover. They were rushed to the 37 Military Hospital.
Her boyfriend Maxwell was treated and discharged on the same day. However McBrown who had her right arm broken as a result of the accident, was admitted for almost three weeks until she was finally discharged.
