An Accra High Court presided over by Justice C.J Hoenyenugah will on
Monday hear a case between the state and three Guyanese accused
of transporting 414 slabs of cocaine estimated at $60million.
The three, Perceval Curt, Samuel Mornty and Saint Praimchad are among a group of five who were arrested in November 3013 aboard a Guyanese Ship christened ‘ATIYAH George Town’.
The vessel was believed to be travelling from Guyana, when it was intercepted on Ghana’s territorial waters in the Western Region.
Two of their colleagues, a Ghanaian, Seth Grant including the Captain of the Ship, Mila Ronald O’Neil were however sentenced in January, 2014 to 15 and 20 years in prison respectively after the court found them guilty.
